As a Community Club, Edinburgh South’s Committee are aware that the pandemic may have impacted the finances of some of our members – hence our decision to suspend subscriptions twice in the last few months.
We believe this may be particularly prevalent where parents/carers are paying multiple subscriptions to our Club. Therefore, where parents/carers are paying for 2 children, we have taken the decision to discount one of the subscriptions by £10. Where parents/carers are paying for 3 children, we have taken the decision not to charge any subscriptions for one of the children. Where possible, the discount has been applied to the eldest child. Based on timings, the discount will be applied to the next monthly subscription direct debit run – i.e. late June/early July.
The committee believes it is essential that individual teams are not impacted by this decision. Therefore the Club will centrally cover the cost of any discount. The relevant parents/carers and coaches/treasurers of the impacted individuals have been contacted separately explaining how the discount etc will be applied.
NB To ascertain parents/carers with multiple children paying multiple subscriptions, we identified where the same email address was associated with more than one child on our central system. We are aware that is it possible that parents/carers may have used different email addresses for different children/subscriptions. If you have multiple children paying subscriptions for ESCFC and have not received an email confirming a discount will be applied, please contact sarah.winkler@escfc.co.uk with your children’s details. If you do not wish the discount to be applied please also let Sarah know.
