Dundee West FC is calling on its members and the local community to support an alternative evening of lockdown fundraising entertainment as we attempt to host what we believe will be the first ever Virtual Charity Race Night!
WHY:
Supporting the Health & Wellbeing of the local community is hugely importance to us.
Over the last few months Dundee West FC has been able to use the power of football to lend itself to supporting vulnerable families and children who are finding life challenging during these unprecedented times.
The club has aided in the provision of hundreds of lunchtime meals and packing of several hundred family food bag essentials. The Club has also helped to make over 100 check in calls to those in social isolation. Here’s a video link to show a bit more of what we’re doing
In support of the Kirkton and St Mary’s Community Larder, Dundee West is using this event to raise funds that will help continue the provision of food items to may more families and continue to make a positive difference in the fight against Covid-19
WHAT:
We thought a Virtual Charity Race Night would be a creative way to bring a bit of household fun to our club members during this continued lockdown period. To participate in the main event, our club members pay £10 entry. It’s also not just ANOTHER QUIZ!
Ahead of the main event and to help make this actually work, we would like to invite non club members, friends, family and local businesses to support this fundraising event by purchasing horses and jockeys and/or sponsoring a race. This of course is also open to club members.
HOW:
Horse jockeys, owners and race sponsors are purchased online via this event. Simply choose the race in which you would like to participate, choose to be a jockey or owner (or both!) and pay online. We hope to see some funny horse names too!
Why not advertise your business on the night and in our race programme by sponsoring a race. Sponsorship value at your discretion subject to a minimum of £25. Simply choose your race, enter your business/race name and pay online.
Prizes
Winning Jockeys and Horse Owners will win either an alcoholic prize or a box of chocolates.
